Privacy Policy

This policy describes what personal information Coffeylegal ("we", "us") collects through coffeylegal.com, what we do with it, who we share it with and the choices you have. By using the site or placing an order you agree to the practices described here.

1. What we collect

We collect information in three ways.

• Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing addresses, the products you order, and anything you write to us when you contact support.
• Payment information: your payment is processed by Shopify Payments. Your card number and security code are entered on the processor's secure form and handled under PCI-DSS standards. We never receive or store the full card details; we see only a confirmation of the payment and the last digits of the card.
• Information collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the site that referred you, and the date and time of each visit. This is gathered through cookies and similar technologies (see section 5).

2. Why we use it

• To process your order: take payment, ship the parcel, send the confirmation and tracking emails, and handle any return or refund.
• To answer your questions and provide customer support.
• To detect and prevent fraud and unauthorised transactions.
• To understand how the site is used so we can fix problems and improve it.
• To meet our legal and tax obligations.
• To send you marketing emails, only if you have opted in. Every such email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to stop at any time.

3. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the third-party services we need to run the store, and only the information each one requires:

• the e-commerce platform that hosts the site and stores order records;
• Shopify Payments and the payment networks, to process your payment;
• shipping carriers, who receive your name, address and phone number to deliver the parcel;
• analytics and email providers, to measure site use and send order emails.

We may also disclose information when a law, regulation, court order or government request requires it, or when it is necessary to protect our rights, our customers or the security of the site.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone for their own marketing.

4. How long we keep it

We keep order and contact information for as long as it is needed to fulfil the order, handle returns and support, satisfy tax and accounting requirements and resolve any dispute. When it is no longer needed for any of those purposes, it is deleted or anonymised.

5. Cookies

Cookies are small files placed in your browser. We use them to keep items in your cart, remember your preferences, keep you signed in and measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; if you do, parts of the site such as the cart and checkout may stop working properly.

6. Security

All traffic between your browser and the site is encrypted with SSL/TLS. Access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to process orders and support requests, and we use administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect it. No system is completely secure, however, and we cannot promise that unauthorised access will never occur.

7. Your rights and choices

You may ask us at any time to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you;
• correct information that is wrong or out of date;
• delete your personal information, subject to records we must keep by law;
• stop sending you marketing emails.

8. California residents (CCPA)

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you additional rights:

• Right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it and who we shared it with.
• Right to delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to the exceptions in the law.
• Right to opt out of sale. We do not sell personal information. If that ever changed, we would provide a clear way to opt out first.
• Right to non-discrimination. Exercising these rights will not affect the price or service you receive.

9. Children

The site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, in line with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with its effective date, and material changes will be noted here. Please check back occasionally.
